Contending in small business requires much ability, but knowing how to dress for a business situation like Jewelry Display show can help you close a deal in face-to-face meeting. In the world of jewelers, sometimes the way you dress is significant.

For example, if you design and sell exquisite jewelry to women’s specialty jewelry shops, showing up wearing something unique jewelry like the one you sell may sound like a good idea, but the wrong outfit will cost you the clients. It is better to convey product samples than to serve as a model for your own jewelry.

Most jewelry display shows are in door activity - there are some cases you’ll be up for outdoor shows. So since you’ll be out all day, here are the tips I have to share.

Always check the Dos

1 - Comfortable clothes
2 - Name tag or shirt with your business name/logo
3 - Hat and/or sunglasses
4 - Comfy shoes

Avoid getting hit by the DON'Ts

1 - Halter tops, skimpy skirts, etc.
2 - Anything ripped or stained (the one exception is if you are doing demonstrations that are messy)
3 - Badly fitting or high heel shoes. You will be on your feet most of the day.
